1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to PaperMagic! By downloading, accessing, or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using PaperMagic on behalf of a child under 13 (or under the applicable digital consent age in your jurisdiction), you, the parent or legal guardian, agree to these Terms on their behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use PaperMagic.
2. Description of Service
PaperMagic is a digital "paper dolls" application that allows users to:
Dress up digital characters with virtual accessories and stickers across 5 categories
Create and save custom character designs to a personal gallery
Generate printable PDFs for physical paper doll activities (color or outline versions)
Access a catalog of characters including humans, animals, and fantasy creatures
The app is designed primarily for children ages 4–12 with parental oversight, with additional support for teens (13–15) and adults (16+).
3. User Accounts
To use PaperMagic, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information during registration
Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
For users under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account. Parents are responsible for managing child profiles under their account and for supervising their children's use of PaperMagic.
4. Age Requirements
PaperMagic enforces age-appropriate access through an age gate at first use:
Ages 4–12: Must have a parent or guardian create and manage the account. Parental verification is required before the child can use the app.
Ages 13–15: May use the app with parental consent, which varies by jurisdiction (see our Privacy Policy for country-specific consent ages).
Ages 16+: May create and manage independent accounts.
5. Subscription and Payments
PaperMagic offers both free and premium subscription options:

Billing terms
Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS, when available).
By subscribing, you agree to the respective app store's terms and payment policies.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
To cancel, use the subscription management in your app store account settings.
Refunds are governed by the respective app store's refund policies.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of the specific creations (character dress-up configurations) you make in PaperMagic. By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
Store your creations on our servers
Display your creations within the app for your use
Process your content to provide the service (e.g., generating PDFs)
We do not share your creations publicly, use them for promotional purposes, or disclose them to third parties without your explicit consent.
7. Intellectual Property
All PaperMagic content, including but not limited to characters, accessories, artwork, animations, sound effects, music, logos, and software, is owned by Capibara Corp and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PaperMagic for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
Copy, distribute, or sell PaperMagic content for commercial purposes
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from our content (except your personal creations)
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright or proprietary notices
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
Extract or reuse PaperMagic assets (characters, stickers, backgrounds) outside the app
You may print your creations via the PDF export feature for personal, non-commercial use (e.g., for your child to play with).
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use PaperMagic for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the service without written permission
Impersonate another person or entity
Attempt to circumvent age gates, parental controls, or parental verification mechanisms
Upload, transmit, or distribute any malicious code
9. Disclaimers
PaperMagic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable
Any errors in the service will be corrected
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Capibara Corp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
Your use of or inability to use PaperMagic
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
Any interruption or cessation of the service
Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the service
Our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
Upon termination:
Your right to use PaperMagic will immediately cease
Your account data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
A 30-day grace period is provided for voluntary account deletion to allow recovery
Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your app store account to avoid continued billing
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
We will notify you via email or in-app notification for significant changes
Continued use of PaperMagic after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
For users in the European Union or European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence. You retain the right to bring claims in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Capibara Corp regarding the use of PaperMagic.
